The Ford Mustang manufactured by the Ford Motor Company was initially based on a compact car, the second generation North American Ford Falcon. The first car was launched in the year 1964 as a 1964½ model. This was the 1965 Mustang which was considered as one of the most successful launch. The production of Mustang started in Dearborn, Michigan and was introduced in public at the New York World's Fair.
